Gas Cans & Replacement Spouts
Hi all - this came from another post I made.
I've purchased several of these for the farm.

If you need an easy to use gas can, I can recommend this type. I've got several of these also.

A 2.5 gallon No-Spill cost the same as a 5 gallon one that you'll hate. I can't recall what I paid for mine just now.

The 2.5 I got was about $20 but I like it a lot.

I like Jill too! My 2.5 was about 22.00, way better than all the other plastic cans I have.

I don't know who Jill is - but if you like her too - I'll follow your advice -
Sorry couldn't resist. Have a great day.

Re: Gas Cans & Replacement Spouts
'No Spill' is the way to go! Pretty sure I wrote a product review a year or so ago. I named it my 2012 'greatest product of the year'.
They are available on Amazon and usually Stihl dealers. Made in USA. Price is comparable to a 'good' generic gas can, about $20 for 1 1/4 gallon. There is an adapter nozzle for using in vehicles that also works well.

Larry, maybe it was you instead of John who posted the video.

Re: Gas Cans & Replacement Spouts
Regardless Dan, I rarely 'tout' a product and I am a giant fan of 'No Spill' gas containers. Seems no matter what fuel can I use to fill a Cub, lawnmower or brush cutter some will get spilled..... not with this one!
The other week when I ran the loader Cub out of gas (1/2 mile walk, each way) I used a 'regular' gas can and despite the hood being rusty, it stinks to have gas drip out onto it from the fitting. Would push me over the edge if it was a hood that had been painted. Sort of an insult to injury. And I left the key on so the battery was dead (popping the clutch in reverse down a hillside trail was an interesting experience too).

Re: Gas Cans & Replacement Spouts
Down here in Oklahoma we are kinda partial to Blitz cans. Maybe thats because they are made in Oklahoma and the US Military uses them.

Lee, I googled Blitz and saw they closed in 2012 due to losses incurred defending frivolous lawsuits where people got burned pouring gas on open flames?!!!

Re: Gas Cans & Replacement Spouts
The bad news is the gas station near my house is now a huge hole in the ground, destined to be some fancy place. So no easy way to fuel the Cub(s) anymore. The good news is the Indian Hill Trading Post http://indianhill.com/ carries No Spill containers.

Re: Gas Cans & Replacement Spouts
The blitz went into bankruptcy but they emerged and are now in buisness. I called them about a faulty nozzle about 2 weeks ago and had two new replacement ones in about 2 days. SO far , they have been good to me.

Re: Gas Cans & Replacement Spouts
Sorry, guess I should have added that Blitz was purchased by Scepter out of Canada and they are now remaking the cans at the Miami, Ok plant. You can get both Scepter and Blitz branded cans around here. My only gripe with the Scepter branded cans is at the rated capacity, the fluid level is right at the top , almost dripping out. But the Blitz branded cans leave about 2 inches at the top after filling to rated capacity. go figure.
