A good day at Hog Waller
Thank you Boss Hog for hosting another great fest. I had a great time! Came home with a running combine engine, a sweet t-shirt, koozie and gas stick, and some parts I needed....after the work week I have had, it was just what the Dr. ordered.
It was good to see old friends and make new ones. See y'all next time!

Re: A good day at Hog Waller
Just finished cleaning up at the hotel...will be heading out leisurely in the morning.
Another great time at the waller, though with all the sunshine we had all week there warn't no mud to waller in like two years ago!!!!! It was a VERY successful fest for me...changed the extremely leaky front transmission seal on my '52 with LOTS of help, and confirmed bad bearings on the newly re-aquired '55 that my neighbor ran with no oil pressure. Yogie, ArtC, Joel and.....several others whose names I cannot recall (sorry)...managed to pull the head (with only one broken bolt!) and felt the engine was in good enough shape to rebuild. So now I know my next project!!!!!
Raymond, Boss reminded me to grab your stuff (good thing, too...getting old and forgetful!) so it is ready for another leg of the wondrous Cub Express.
At the very end Boss and Yogie were successful in getting another Cub resurrected!! Quite educational, too! Learned a lot about troubleshooting...thanks for your patience with this student.
Thanks Boss and family for a great time (and super chicken today!) Your hospitality was much appreciated!

Re: A good day at Hog Waller
Just got home after a long day on the road. I can't say enough about what a great host Boss was. The idea of the trip to the Appomatox Court House was something I will never forget. Sorry that the whole war was almost re started. I just want to say it wasn't me. My cabin mates Ed, Larry , Val and Yogie along with our visitors made for some side splitting laughs that went from morning to night. It was very hard saying good bye to all of my very good friends. Yogie and I agree that we had more fun than ever an I can't thank Boss Hog enough for all he does. Heck he even got a transport bus so we could all go on the tour in one vehicle. This really was as educational as it was fun I learned a great deal about the area and its history, along with thoughts on creation and evolution.
Oh and the cubfest was great we brought down a trailer full and came home with a truck and trailer full. Thanks Dave and family for hosting us. I do have one complaint though, it all was over too soon.

Re: A good day at Hog Waller
Thanks so much to everyone who attended this weekend, what a blast... This is the first time I've stopped and really took the time to enjoy myself with everyone at a fest. Hearing aids work wonders.
I was the last to leave as always and just arrived home tonight.
Special thanks to Boss and family for all they have done.
BTW: I have several pictures to post but I'll start a new thread for those.

Got home yesterday at about four pm. Want to thank the whole Bennett family for putting on such a great event. Well worth the two year wait from the last time I atended it. Great to see every one again and meet others for the first time. Thanks to all that helped out with parts, labor, knowledge and laughs while splitting my cub and fixing my clutch in time for the tractor pull.
Ill have to try and get there eariler next year to help with plucking those chickens for the feast
Glad to here you made it back home to Tenn ok Dale
Thanks again Boss for the great time.

Re: A good day at Hog Waller
Dale,
I was wondering if you'd have to leave that trailer there. Hope you truck gets better.
Yogie,
It's good to hear your hearing aid is helping! I enjoyed hanging out and learning while you and ArtC worked on Dale F's busted engine. Also, late Saturday night while you and Boss worked on that square hood. Y'all make it look like child's play.
Boss,
Also, thanks for letting me hang around and watch while y'all resurrected that square hood cub. I learned more there than reading would ever teach me!
So when's the next event!? Maybe I'll try to convince Dale F to host another
