hydraulic problem

i have a 55 loboy with a hydro problem , it works but it constantly cycles . it will lift and then start to drop and pump , pump pump and wait a few seconds and do it all over again ., i really need to fix it so i can use it , any ideas ?

needs a seal kit installed. probabley worn O rings.

my other cub had hyd. issues and it just leaked past the o rings and filled the motor oil with hyd. fluid . i thought maybe this was a differant problem . i guess its just losing pressure at a differant point .

Brian, I think he means the block assy needs an o-ring kit. Mine was doing the same thing you described and also was leaking oil. I bought a kit from TM Tractor. Good luck.

You need to rebuild your hydraulic reservoir, there are several O-rings internally. The pump is not the only component that has O-rings. There are specific rebuild kits depending on the part number found on the side of the hydraulic block.
