Name that Mower?

Postby jlmason81 » Mon Apr 22, 2013 4:12 pm

Guys,

I am looking at buying two cubs and 1 of them has a #6 Tool Bar. The owner says that this mower mounts to the tool bar. I have never seen this mower for a Cub and would guess it would be for a bigger tractor due to the weight/size. Any help would be great appreciated. :help:

Can you get more pictures? Show the hitch and few more details.

That is not for a Cub, looks to be a modified pull behind typical brush hog that was for a 3pt setup.

Hmmmm. Didn't think about that...... I have the full toolbar in the back & this setup just might work with a light 4' bush hog or finish mower. Lol. I'll try anything once. Does anyone run implements on their cubs where the pto shaft is at that severe of an angle? I don't know how smooth it'd spin, even though I have seen videos of tillers, etc with the pto set up like that.

Even if you did modify it to fit behind a cub, the pto spins the wrong direction for any bush hog unless specifically for a cub. Also the pto speed on a cub is much faster than the standard 540 pto. If you buy the cubs, get the bush hog if it's in the deal and you may be able to sell it and get a couple hundred back at best :D

Thanks guys. I have never seen one like it and from what I can tell it doesn't look modified. The owner is to send me more pictures tomorrow. I will post more as I get them.
