Great day with my '58 and my '06

Postby Bigschuss » Wed Apr 17, 2013 7:09 pm

I'm on April vacation this week and I thought I'd be safe taking the snowplow and chains off the tractor finally. This year my 6 year old showed an interest in helping me with the spring change over. Man, my little girl was great! We removed the plow and chains, changed all of the fluids, greased it, and then took it for a test ride. She was right there with me getting greasy and busting knuckles. I'm still weeks away from any field work, but today was time well spent with my Cub and my little girl. I made sure to savor every minute.

By the end of the summer that Cub is gonna be hers. You better start looking for another about now. Great pix, thanks for sharing!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Blair:

The most important part of spring was right there beside you all day. It is wonderful when the little ones want to be with Dad. Savour it, it goes by so durn fast. Looks like Dad and daughter had a great day :big smile:

I doubt you could forget this day if you tried. I have memories of my little girl at about that age, even if she is 57 years old.

I venture to say, by taking care of the cub also, she will be able to point to the cub and tell her children aboout the great times she and granpaw had with it.

Lucky man and lucky young lady! I miss spending time with my daughter working on Eddie (she's away at school, now).

p.s. I work with some guys that live in the hilltowns of western MA and they still talk about substantial snow cover on the ground. Your pictures prove them right!
