Computer shuts down
My pc reboots and then restarts. as soon as i have my full screen up it reboots again. It just keeps repeating itself. I did start it in safe mode and was able to open my Mocrosoft office apps as well as run my virus program.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Sounds like you have a boot sector virus. You need to be able to access a bootable anitvirus cdrom so it can scan your harddrive. BtDt more times than I care to remember. Very common problem for those who do a fair amount of surfing or click the wrong link.

Rudi, I was able to run my antivirus and it cleared out a about 80 tracking cookies and one trojan virus, but I can't think of that virus name at the moment. Still nothing.

The last one I had to deal with on my Vista machine was the RI or RL family of viruses. RIKill or RLKill was the fix. I just removed it from my desktop. Will look in the trash in the morning. I am on a different puter at the moment.
