Postby Thackery » Sat Mar 02, 2013 8:21 pm

Anyone recognize this planter? Found it on the edge of one of the fields.

Not much to work with there. It looks to me like a Planet Junior.

I agree Jim, not a good picture with the snow and rock for contrast.
I will probably turn the wheels into some garden art.
I found it on my property while walking the dogs, it's surprising to find something laying at the edge of a field that I have walked by at least a hundred times.
Is a planet junior a walking type planter?

The same basic unit can be walk-behind or bracketed onto a tractor.

Looks to be a 300A Planet jr. Those things are tough, and looks like the bottom ofthe hopper with the drive shaft and seed cut off are lying up onthe rock behind it. You could clean it and either put it back to handles or make up the simple brackets it would take to use it behind a tractor.

Doug, here is my Planet Jr 300A for comparison, if it helps.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
