headaches

Postby John *.?-!.* cub owner » Thu Feb 28, 2013 11:33 pm

Several people have asked about my not being a moderator. It is due to health. I have been having problems with some pretty bad headaches for the last couple weeks and until I can get a handle on them I asked Dennis to remove me from moderator duties. C.T. scan was normal, at least as normal as I get, and Dr. is going to try me on a medicine to relieve stress thinking that may be it, which I suspect is correct. Having to move Mom to a nursing home has been hard on me, and as many of you have learned, there are always some family members that will not accept the fact that there was no choice. That combined with my already existing health problems and dealing with Mo. Health Net (Mo. Medicaid) on Mom's behalf have made life interesting. Prayers for all of us are appreciated.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

John, you and your family are most certainly in our prayers here in the barnyard.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Your in our Prayers John
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

John I appreciate what you are going through with your mom. It is never easy when life affecting decisions have to be made even when everyone is on the same page. For others to question or dispute them makes it especially stressful.
God bless you and mom.
If you need a shoulder to comfort you or sound off on send me a PM and I will send you my phone number

John, you and your family are in our prayers. And yes, I understand, my wife is going through the same heartbreaking issues with her mom and does create a lot of stress, constantly. And those family members that criticize and judge, just won't step up to help, they are way too busy.
So may our God truly bless you.

John,
Trying to care for elderly parents can be very stressful. We have been going through this with my mom for the past 5 years. She has dementia and now has to have a family member with her 24/7. We tried an assisted living home last year for 4 months but just could not leave her there in her confused state of mind and brought her home. We all know that she may have to go into a skilled nursing home before long. If I can be of help let me know.

John:

You know that I really understand the stresses that are allied with health concerns in the family never mind with one's own health. Em's and my prayers are with you as always and with your family as you go through this. Hopefully the "nerve pills" will help. Been on a number of them for years and they do help some, especially with the headaches. They do have their own issues though. Be well, enjoy life and take it easy.
