Postby welderskelter » Sat Feb 23, 2013 12:52 pm

Does anybody out there have an International tiller that goes behind a loboy ? I have one that came with mine but dont have a book or anything so will have to wing it. Thought someone might have one and be able to answer some questions. Harold

Was wondering if anybody has a manual on one of these. I havent had a lot of time to try mine out, but it seems it runs rough and pulls hard when let clear down. I am not sure but thinking about it now I wonder if I have it tilted too far forward and causing to much bend in u joints. I have it on a 154 loboy.

The tiller should stand upright during use (perpendicular to the ground). Adjust your top link out or in as necessary to obtain this. The PTO shaft is not "straight" but is offset slightly to one side when mounted. The tiller should run smoothly. Check the gear lube in the angle drive and the chain case. Might not hurt to check out the tension on the chain as well.

The tiller will work your tractor hard. Run at full throttle and use creeper gear (1st). Even with this it may stall the tractor in heavy clay and roots. The tiller does a great job. A mowed weedy area turns to usable garden after two to three passes spread over 2 weeks.
Rudi pointed toward the parts manual above. Haven't seen any other manuals for the tiller.

The tines are available and expensive. I asked the same question in this topic. Members did point to other sources than the dealer, but the cost is roughly the same.
