"Peaches"

Postby danovercash » Wed Feb 20, 2013 11:43 pm

"Peaches", aka "the Peach", "Queen Peach", Lt. Fuzz E. Butt, and sometimes just Fuzzbutt Went to the Bridge (Rainbow Bridge) this evening about 4:30. She was 16 years, 3 mounths, and 10 days old (that's about 81 in human years) She has been in decline several years, and went down quickly the last two days. She loved to chase squirels, chipmunks, cats, anything that would run. Every one got to say goodbye before Anna and I took her to the Vet. They were very careing there. Explaining everything and taking some locks of hair in a bow for us. They also made a mold of her paw to make a footprint keepsake.

Dan:

It is hard to say goodbye to such a close friend, a part of the family. Glad that you were able to have as positive an experience as you did. We never forget them you know.

I could tell this dog was loved when she had so many nicknames, and your vet sounds like a class act! RIP Fuzzbutt!

Dan, god bless little Peaches. It is truly amazing how endearing these little balls of fur and love can be to us -- I think it's the unconditional love they have for us.

Thanks for the replies guys! She is still missed. We had her creamated, then buried her ashes with her favorite human, Shelia's mom. Anna found and purchased a Yorkie-Poo. We are still breaking him in. He's learning to use pads, still teething tho. Two nicknames already, Fearless Charlie and Charlie thunder. Still recommending "A Dog's Purpose" to anyone that loves dogs. I have the sequel, not read it yet. I heard the first book is being made into a movie.
