one point hitch
Good morning all. I am very new here and was directed here from another web site. I am looking for pic's or any information I can find on a one point hitch for a cub. I am asking for a friend that does not do computers. I helped him pick one up out of a field a few years ago. The adjusting lever is missing that adjust the angle that allows the land plow to enter the ground.

Deerlope,
A little more information would help, but here is a good place to start:http://www.tm-tractor.com/gim/gim_001.htm
Is this for an International Cub Loboy or Regular Cub (Old style or New style?)?
Peter

Re: one point hitch
As I said I was asking for a friend and as you can see I know very little about these tractors. I do know that is is a regular cub and that it has a flat head engine. I will find out more details and post them later in the week.

Supplement to Operator's Manual - Farmall Fast Hitch
TC-37F Revision 2 Parts Catalog (Issued 9-70) - Attachments - Fast Hitch are pages 209 - 224. Both versions for the Cub and the Lo-Boy. This parts catalog is late enough that it should have parts for both the early and the later version of the fast hitch.
Hope this helps

Re: one point hitch
I just got off the phone with the cub owner and he says it is the old style. He would like to buy that adjust lever if one is to be had. Making sure without a good set of plans would be difficult at best.

Re: one point hitch
I was missing the old style depth control lever and thought it was a hopeless mission finding one, but found one finally on ebay. You just have to be in the right place at the right time. You can post a WANTED ad here, but don't hold your breath!
Good luck!

Peter: The first pic is what he needs. Depth adjusting. I have looked at some of the pic's on here and that lever is quite detail below the floor plate.

Yes it is. Here are some photos of mine that Rick Prentice rebuilt for me.

Yup, that's definitely something that you're not going to be able to find right away, unless you are very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very lucky. Even then you will pay through the nose for it if you really want it.
Mine was also missing that old style depth control. I fabricated a copy of the new style depth control from a piece of Acme screw from Mcmaster Carr, a piece of 1" black pipe, and some scrap steel:

I like the way you did that Matt, nothing is in your way like a crank handle or lever. My friend don't even have a old pieces that he can rebuild from. My friend is a very clever man and an excellant builder and welder I will show him some of the pics that you guys have posted.

Re: one point hitch
I wish to thank all that helped and posted pic's in my search for this item. My friend stopped by today to say that he had found and purchased and complete old style unit and after he did that someone call with the lever he was looking for so he bought it also. Soon he will have one complete unit to sell.

I have to admit that those pictures were taken before I was done fabricating.
It now has a crank handle and a knob welded to the top of the bolt.

Re: one point hitch
If I recall there is a difference in the 'wishbone' between the old and new ones.
They can show up from time to time, because the parts are not used if the fast hitch is on a Cub with a 1000 loader. The depth adjustment is in a cross piece on the loader.
