My brother just got this set of 189 plows. The latch bar is missing so we need to find one and the coulters are also missing but we can take those off his two 193 plows. They look like the haven't seen much use and still have some traces of blue paint and stenciling on them too.

Re: Cub 189 plows
Nice find!
The coulters have a left and right mounting bracket so 193s will have right hand brackets. I think I have a NOS left hand bracket. They are a little hard to find.
I have a very similar set with the jointers (they work great flipping sod and also are handed) plus I have a set with chilled iron bottoms that I need to sell some day.
There is an interference problem with underslung exhausts. I don't have any photos but I could not mount the full set on my later tractor.

Good info Bob, I was not aware there was a fit issue with the 189 installed on a cub w/ underslung exhaust.

Re: Cub 189 plows
Nice set of 189s you got there
The Jointers that are already installed, as opposed to rolling Coulters, work fine in previously tilled fields. While you're searching for the Latch Bar assembly, you'll need to keep an eye out for some other parts you're also missing:
one (1) 513 988 R2 Lift Bracket assembly
two (2) 512 308 R92 Lift Links with pins
two (2) 3839 BA Eyebolts
The Lift Bracket is/are two identical stampings bolted to the rear rockshaft and catch the lift chains ; the Lift Links connect the Depth Adjuster arms to the Drawbar Eyebolts.
I'm about half way through reconditioning my set and was fortunate to replace some missing parts with NOS from the factory, thanks to my local dealer.
Good looking iron and here's wishing you success finding the missing stuff !

Re: Cub 189 plows
I'm pretty sure I have a spare latch bar that was on a cub I acquired years ago. I have a complete setup already, so I shouldn't really need that extra one and would consider selling it. I'll go out back later today and find it and let you know.

Re: Cub 189 plows
Just as a follow up with the latch bar I spoke of. Here's a pic of what I have.
I think it's all there except maybe the mounting bolts/nuts. A PM was sent.
