If it does not come down, then what? Too risky to approach.
If it doesn't come down, in 60 mph winds, its probably safe enough to approach, on a calm day. I'll snag a rope on it, and use some power assist. (IH 444, not cub) Ed

Ed; Just cut and drop them. I've danced around many a fallen trees before when i was faster than gravity of course. Need help Ed?? My husqvarna saws are sleeping....
I was living on a mountain top in '77/'78 when the blizzard hit. We had snow about 6' deep in the roads. I'm going to park the IH tractors on this one and run the jeep tractor she is born and bred for whats comming tomorrow this is why i built her. If we get 2' to 3' of heavy wet snow the jeep will eat it up and want more. I'm all gass'd up with 18 gallons to spare and 24 gallons as back up. I'm ready the freezer is full and my new coleman oven for the top of the woodstove is ready to try out too. My pantry is bustin at the seems with can goods too. The flannels are on the bed and there is plenty of firewood and water in the house. Its just the old boyscout in me that never left to be prepared for anything.
The int154 will run the clean up position after the jeep makes the first passes.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.

I'm movin' to Sodus NY. Sick of this pitiful snowfall.
I grew up in the Lake Erie lake effect band.
Where I'm living now, the Erie band runs to the South, and the Lake Ontario band runs north of me. Unless the wind is just right we don't get a whole lot of snow here.

Forecast, for Monday, is 40 degrees, and rain. That should clean up a good part of it.

Ed, you need what I have for my 444. A Farmi4000 winch. Comes in so handy for making trees go where you want them to while cutting. Reduces the danger factor appreciably.

Hey Ricky, We'll be sure to get a few pics to share with the gang. Did you get much out of this storm as it passed over you?

We didn't get anything from this past system. We did get about 6" the other day though.
