Not a good day plowing snow.

Glad to here you are OK. Maybe when you are done with the torque tube you should look into installing an air bag. :D :D  Dave B.

I feel bad for you. I had the same thing happen while plowing my friends driveway with my 4x4. I wasn't going fast but from going foward to total stop is something you remember. Had the glove box open and stuff come out from under the seat. Only good thing was I found stuff that had been missing and stuff I didn't know I had :P .

The older I get, the more I appreciate why my friend advised me never to buy a truck that had plowed.... it is surely hard on things.

It hurt me just to look that that broken mount. Sudden stops are no good.

Wow, a 5 year old thread brought back to the top. :big afro:

I don't think it would matter that much where John lives, He is in MO., not the bone chilling frozen north.

I bet if he was at full throttle in 2nd gear and hit a stump or curb in the summer time, it would do the same thing.

Don't blame us, LOL, you posted the pictures. :big afro:

And yes, I have some pictures out there on this forum I wish had never been posted too. :big afro:

You guys don't ever let a fella forget a mistake, no matter how hard he tries, do you.
We sure don't John, but then Nick did have a valid question. You didn't make a mistake, you created a learning experience for others.

On a more serious note, with the snow season upon us a lot of new members may be plowing for the first time. This will serve as a good reminder of things to watch for.

Good point Bill...it's all about learning here. And donuts (Ed).

In the big city 3rd is fast. I much prefer to be 'put-puting' along. Granite curbstones vs a 54, my money is on the granite!

I surely felt your pain when it happened EJP, and learned from it. Probably owe you some money for the stuff I didn't break

That break can be welded and reinforced much better than new.
It probably is now stronger than it was before, it went to scrap and is probably in some body's garage by now.

:bellylaugh: Thats right
