Rosie and I just got home from a fantastic time at Jeff & Janice Silvey's CubFest. Anytime of year is great for a Cub gathering and the folks in attendance proved it. A fellow who lives nearby contacted Jeff about some problems he had with his Cub and Jeff told him to bring it over and we would look it over. He was in for a huge surprise. Once we looked it over we attacked it like a horde of locusts. When we were done Ernie learned the true meaning of "CubFest". He couldn't believe that a large group of unknown people would spend their day and go over every inch of his prized possession. Everybody looked for something to fix. We went over that Cub literally from front to rear. There were guys working on the tie rods and others replacing the missing bolts in the seat (it doesn't swing backwards any more ) More of the guys ganged up on everything in between.
Thanks Jeff and Janice for opening you house to all of us. We certainly had fun.
Also, a big thank you to Gary Dotson for some quick lessons on distributors and mags. This was the first time I have been able to spend time on these with out something pulling me away. His teaching of basic welding will come in handy for several of us.
Bigdog and Gary Dotson look over the steering on Ernie's Cub.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Pulled in the driveway at home at about 8:15 this evening. Great gathering and we had a lot of fun. Thanks to Jeff and Janice for their hospitality. It takes a lot of work to host even a one-day event and they did a great job!

Bonnie and I would also like to add our THANKS . We had a great time seeing old friends and meeting new friends. We just got in the house after meeting some friends at Bob Evans for dinner on the way home. You know it I think it was the first time I had ordered half a sandwich and soup because I was still too full from lunch. I will upload my pictures tomorrow.
Once again. Thanks for a great Christmas CubFest. Looking forward to seeing everyone at the Tug this summer.

I just got home after a detour to attend my grandson's 2nd birthday party, what a great way to end a wonderful day! Thanks to Jeff and Janice for opening their house and shop to us, everyone had a super time! It was fun to see all the old friends and meet a few new, and in the true spirit of a Cub Fest learn some new thing and help others.
Thanks Gary for the the welding repairs and lessons, your knowledge is vast and your willingness to take the time to share and teach others is much appreciated.
Jeff,I guess you shouldn't have put me in charge of testing your air compressor / sandblaster .... hope it isn't something serious...
Thanks again to all,

My thanks, also, to Jeff & Janice for hosting a great little get together. Had a great time, mostly shooting the breeze with friends, but it's also a lot of fun showing my bad welding habits to others. Jeff has a nice welding set-up, by the way. I like his new shop heater a lot, too!

Thanks to Jeff and Janice from Candy and me. We, too, had a great time and are just sorry we had to miss the first one last year. Love your shop, Jeff.
