Cub Timing

Postby Monstercub » Mon Nov 26, 2012 9:48 am

A quick question. This may be a stupid question, but, would you use the same type of timing techniques on a magnito distributor as you would a regular one? I'm also talking about looseningthe bolts and turning it to adavance or retard the ignition. Thank you!

Minor exception, rotate the opposite direction for the same effect. You rotate the top of a magneto out (clockwise) to advance. You rotate the battery ignition distributor in (counterclockwise) to advance.

There are a couple of exceptions. Static timing is the same, but the crank pulley will not have an advance mark on it.
Go to http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/Blue%2 ... index.html
and [pages 4, 5, 6 have the magneto timing instructions.
