Super C and 3 Point Hitch

Postby Don McCombs » Wed Nov 07, 2012 9:29 am

My Super C has Fast Hitch and it came with the two lower 3 point hitch arms. I have yet to see a similar setup showing how to attach a top link to the tractor. Anyone have this setup and can post or email me a few photos? Thanks.

Here is a pic of the hitch on mine. I have no idea who made it.

Mike,

Does your Super C have Fast Hitch? It's hard to tell from the photo. Thanks.

No, just the 3-pt. The top link bracket is welded to the rear lift and another arm welded to the other side. The bracket rotates when the lift is raised, but it doesn't bother any thing.
I bolted both side of the touch control arm together, and the 3-pt will lift a 800# round bale, or the front wheels.
There is no makers name anywhere on the hitch. It must have been installed by a very skilled welder, as it is very well done.
The tractor was once owned by the state and used on the sanitorium farm in Staunton. The work may have been done in a state shop.
Best,
Mike

My Super C (no Fast Hitch) came with a PO-engineered post hole digger. Not willing to leave well enough alone, I further engineered that set up into a 3 point hitch. Here's a couple of photos of the top link bracket I fabricated out of some 4" thick-wall tubing I had laying around. Works good for what I need, but I haven't really stress-tested it by plowing all day. I'm unfamiliar with the FH set-up on a Super C, so there may be clearance issues to work out. Hope it helps.
