Hoss Seeder
Anybody tried the hoss seeder yet? I've been looking at getting a hand seeder and this one seems to be well built for the price. I would love to have a cole planet jr. but they are a little out of my price range at least when they are least new.

I use an Earthwasy for most of my planting. You can find them at most hardware or garden stores.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Hoss Seeder
Looking at the pictures and reviews, the Hoss seeder looks like a great rig, but at $160 for the seeder, then you have to have the wheel hoe to attach it to, it can get a little pricey unless you are planting a very large garden.
About 2 years ago I bought an Earthway seeder to rep;ace the older similar one I had. I don't remember the brand of my previous one, but it was very similar to the Earthway, but the Earthway had several improvements. The seed hopper is designed so it does a better job of feeding the seed when it gets to a low level than my old one did.

Re: Hoss Seeder
I had looked at the earthway but was not sure about the belt. Do you ever have and trouble with the belt slipping?

Re: Hoss Seeder
I have had mine for about eight years and never had a problem with the belt slippng. It may be differetnt if I was walking 20 mph but at a normal walk it works just fine.

Re: Hoss Seeder
My Earthway I have only had a couple of years, but the similar one I had for 10 or 15 years had the same belt setup and never gave any trouble .
