Gator Blades

Postby Chevyguy » Sat Oct 13, 2012 6:36 pm

I finally bought a set of Gator Blades for the 582 and tried them out today. Those blades really pulverize leaves. I used the leaf blower to round up the leaves to the center of the yard, so they were pretty deep when I started. These blades create so much suction I never had a problem with leaves building up in front of the deck to the point they wouldn't go under the deck. I made the first couple of passes with the deck all the way up and there wasn't a leaf on the ground behind me. After working through the higher stuff on the outside, I lowered the deck and blasted through the rest of them. I would highly recommend them.

Cadet does make a high lift blade which sucks enough dirt to suit me. Any more suction would be too filthy. I do have leaves to gather but suck them up into a lawn vac behind. Vern

I have a Mow&Vac leaf vac and after switching to gator blades the leaves are ground more to the point I`ll have 30% less loads of leaves which is good because an average year I`ll have 50-60 loads.
