PTO Drive Pully for bar sicle mower
I am working on getting my bar mower installed and working before I lose all the parts. I have it all mounted and pretty much figured out except the rear drive pulley seems to be very tight on the PTO shaft. I will probably have to put it on with a hammer which assures I will need a puller every time I take it off. That does not seem correct to me. So I thought I would ask here and see if anybody else has had this issue. Thanks.-Phil

Am mounting a 22 series mower on a 154 Lowboy have everything mounted still working on the bar height adjustment stuff. Just seems rear PTO pulley will have to be tapped on. May just be tight as I don't think this was ever used much.

Do you have a model 222 mower, or a L-22? The PTO pulley is the same, but the brackets and design are different.
As Denny said , clean the splines on the PTO and the pulley. If its still tight, you might try to open up the pulley a bit with a small chisel with the bolt loose.
