Posting a for sale addLast night I posted an add for some cub parts for sale in Michigan and I thought the post was deleted minutes after posting. What I found out was that it was placed on the second page of the listings behind postings from May. How does that happen?

Re: Posting a for sale addthe first ads are for people who pay for ads, and then its the free ads. after 6 days your ad is taken off so make sure you keep checking it because if its not active its deleted. its nice that the paid ads stay but its stinks for us that just have one or two things for sale.
Re: Posting a for sale addThank you for the answer.

Re: Posting a for sale addMaybe the administrators can add another for sale category similar to Craiglist. Some C/L categories are broken down between owners and dealers. There could be one on here for "paid ads" and another for "free ads".

Re: Posting a for sale addHuh! Just went and looked at the for sale forum. I was wondering what had happened because it seemed like there were a lot fewer people selling things lately. I always just check for new postings didn't think to check out page two since there was old postings on page 1. Now I know, Thanks.
Re: Posting a for sale addI don't care for the new setup but it's not my choice. I just go straight to the second page anymore.

Re: Posting a for sale addI normally start on the index page and click "View new posts" to get a list of all new posts regardless of what forum they are in.
Re: Posting a for sale addI am with Jim on this one. There is so much on the site now, it can be overwhelming, and I am on here every day 5-10 hrs a day.
We need to support the site, and at $8 for a month (it is cheaper the more months you add)with unlimited adds and other perks, it is a deal and keeps the site running. Dale Shaw

Re: Posting a for sale add
I also skip the 1st page dealer section and go to the 2nd page!
Re: Posting a for sale add
This is not a "Dealer Page". It is a place that any Farmallcub.com member can support the website by becoming a "Premium Advertiser". Free advertising is also good, and there is a place for that. It does nothing to keep this site going however. For as little as $8 for 30 days, you get unlimited ad's, placed prominently in the for sale section. If there is something in particular you want, there is the "Wanted" section. If $8 is too much to spend to sell a tractor or implements on page 1, there is always Page 2. Dale Shaw

Re: Posting a for sale addif there are alot of dealer adds at one time do they just roll over to page two and push the free ones off ? or will there be a page three. i quit looking at the for sale forum because it was just always the same people selling the same stuff. will start looking again, wonder what i missed by not looking at page two.....

Re: Posting a for sale add
Yes, it will roll over to page 3 if required just as any other page in the other forums on the site. It is a good idea to check all the new posts as Jim mentioned it is easy simply by clicking the VNP button.
I don't, I simply browse the forums as I find it is easier for me that way and I choose which forum to start with first -- usually changes from day to day. Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship
