If you can't tell from the picture.....the small angled hole is threaded. The only threaded hole. Looks as if it was for a grease fitting.

Sorry about that Jim, we bought 4 tractors this weekend (3 at one place and 1 Cub at another), so I was busy playing with them and tinkering to see if I could get them running. I took the day off to play around and put everything away before the rain comes. I actually got the LoBoy 154 running and the 1975 Cub running with very little work. The Cub only needed some gas and a battery!  And the LoBoy required a filing of the points, new condensor, and a rebuilt carb. to get it going. So....I've had a pretty good and productive day! More about the part...... That is a neat find and a nice looking part at that. Thanks for looking it up for me. I just figured you guys would recognize it, and thought it might be a Cub part....even though I hadn't seen one before. Well.....if anyone ever needs one of these, I've got one for the taking. haha.
