Typically there is camping/camper facilities available. It depends on the venue.

Not to tell you what to do, but if it is reasonably close to you in 2013, I'd blow off the model airplane club.....the closest roundup to me has been Lebanon, TN.

With the event that close to us, we'll take the motor home early, to assure a campsite. Then take the tractor up later with the P-up.

Of course, it will be on the last weekend of June. That's when my model airplane club has its big annual fundraiser event, so though it is close enough to go, I can't...

On the off chance that they have it a week sooner or later, will they have somewhere to park a camper on the fairgrounds, or is that what all the walmart talk was about?

Matt, they shows typically start on Thursday and my mid day Saturday many guys are packing out. So you could easily come Thursday and maybe Friday depending on your clubs activities. It is quite fun to see all the red iron and talk to other serious collectors. We have been going every year for over 14 years now.

I just made my reservations for the 2013 RPRU in Lima, OH. I wanted to make sure I had rooms reserved close to the round up. Now, I have a year to decide on what I will take.

After reading Cub-Bud's post, I thought it made since. I too reserved my room. I didnt want to be 20-30 miles away. I'm only a block or two away from the fairgrounds.


Now to only wait (11) months..............

The dates for Red Power Round Up 2013 are June 19-22, 2013. The location for RPRU 2013 is Allen County Fairgrounds Lima, Ohio.
There is 300 plus campsites at the fairgrounds. 65 campsites have full hook up and the rest have electric only. There will be a system in place to full your fresh water tanks on your camper at the fairgrounds.

Chapter 6 has around 1800 hotel rooms in a 20 mile radius of the fairgrounds. There is over 600 rooms within 1-2 miles of the show site. There are several good sit down restaurants in that same complex.

The site went online July 16, 2012. The website will be updated as information becomes available.
There is a list of hotels that have a Red Power Round Up 2013 room rate and a link to a camping form that you can fill out and send.

The show dates listed are the 19th-22nd...that's four days of tractor lookin....I hope you can get a day in around the model plane club event.
