Been busy here on our small family farm keeping up with the garden, making hay, gathering eggs, trying to keep the animals cool enough to stay alive, etc.
With 4 kids under 12, everybody here's excited about 4-H fair time. We take in sheep, hogs, ducks, and woodworking projects next week. Finished the woodworking projects today (minus finishing to be done tomorrow), weighed the hogs earlier this week (looks like we'll be between 220 and 260 with all), and me and the 2 oldest boys have been getting up and walking sheep at 6am each morning before I leave for work to get them ready.
I always take fair week off work so we can enjoy it as a family.
No real point to this post I guess, spending the day working in this 100 deg heat, just got me thinking of them maple ice cream shakes at the fair, which got the wheels turning!

Great pictures! Thanks for sharing.
That hog wrestling event must be good entertainment (except for the person who does the laundry.)

Great set of pictures Justin, thanks for sharing. Raising kids in the country on a farm is sort of a lost art these days. But you seem to be doing a great job. You have a beautiful family.
