Postby chief » Mon Jun 25, 2012 2:19 am

The new Barn comes today, I will put up some pictures tomorrow after I get it Full.
Oh and we need rain down here, we have a lot of water in the lakes, But no rain,
we have been in a Burn Ban for months, and it looks like there will be no fire works for the 4th of July.

We are in despirate need of rain here as well. Most of the corp got in the ground early here, but with the lack of rain it is up about waist to chest high and has already tassled. The rumor is that with the air being so dry the corn will not pollinate. I have had my soybeans in the ground since late April/early may and most are less than 6" tall. It could be a bad year around here.

Yes it is bad down here, it is 106 in the shade today, they haven't show up with the new barn yet and it is 1:44 pm and getting hotter.
I have 7 tomato plans with a lot of tomatos on them and 7 kinds of pepper plants doing fine, But my water bill will be high this month.
and my peach trees have about had it, we had a lot of peaches but they went to pot. I hope and pray we get some rain soon,
so for no big fires around us,

Wow I got caught in heavy rain in Wisconsin and even got a rain delay at the Twins Brewers game 17th in Minneapolis. Bev and I were there for our oldest Daughters wedding reception. She is another Beverly and decided that at 55 she finally met the right guy. We noticed driving along I80 that parts of Ohio and Indiana needed rain too. Do a rain dance or schedule an out door something and let nature rain it out. Sound silly but who knows it may work.

I wish I could give some of this rain to you guys needing it. I think we have our share for a while now it's time for Debby to make an exit. I may salvage Lima beans and peppers but every thing else is gone. All corn is laying on it's side and squash were blown out of the ground. Tomatoes were either drowned or blown away. We have been dry here for several years but catching up quickly. :tears:
