OK here's the verdict on the "Dancing Man" video. Tonight we had a family cookout and Ed, Spaceghost, Buzzardwing, and Cape Cod Cubs were there. We all watched it and everybody except one (Ed) liked it, so out of respect for Ed we will not be making that video public. Sorry. Cuz you'd wet your plants I mean pants !!! You would have enjoyed it !!!

The musket ball, with Bob's name carved in it, was the clincher! He'd be "Donut Man", with a neat, round hole, through the middle! Ed

Okay, here is my take on the subject. With all due respect to Bob and Ed, I think the video should not be shown. Bob does excellent work with his videos and they are very funny, but this is one that Ed wishes not to be shown and we should respect that.

Keep in mind that if Ed had actually done, in public, what is in the video, then it would be fair game and probably on youtube by now. BUT, this is a clip that was fabricated and did not actually happen. Bob respected Ed's wishes by asking his permission and Ed asked that it not be shown. That shows the respect Bob has for others and I admire that in a person. I agree, it should not be shown.

We are all here to have fun with each other, but when it comes to embarrassment, we short think twice before proceeding.

Well said, Bill. As one who likes to doctor up pictures and video, I must be aware that to be at the receiving end, feels different.

This is why I stopped doing facebook. There were times when I was having a bad day, and people would put up jokes and insults that were meant to be funny, but at that given time they did not make me smile or laugh. In "real life" we see people's expressions, body language, etc., but with the internet we can't predict when the message is opened up and what kind of day they're having, and what the sender thinks is funny might have the opposite effect on the receiver.

Bob, that is why I backed off on picking on Jeff. He is a great friend of mine, but I too have to keep things in perspective and be careful of what I say. As for me, The clown pix of me can continue, I enjoy those.

Spot on, guys! Ed is a good sport about the ribbing, as most of us are, but anything can be taken too far. Once a line has been crossed, you can't go back.

Besides, I've got a pretty good mental image of what Ed doing the chicken dance would look like, and I'm content with that.

Jason thanks for your support, especially since you've been the recipient of a little ribbing from me. (well, maybe a lot of ribbing, from me) The mental image of me, doing the chicken dance, is all you'll see. Ed

Okay, so I backed off a little. Jeff is a good friend of mine (if you tell him that I will deny it) so I do need to be careful how I say anything. He didn't tell me to back off so maybe I should not change a thing.

Oh, by the way, Jeff, I shipped that final drive yesterday. You can pay me the $82.50 shipping cost next time I see you.
