Thanks to Barnyard and Rosie

Postby Bigdog » Sun Jun 03, 2012 8:49 am

Got home late last night from the Barnyard Bash. It was a much-needed respite for Miss Janet and I. We had a great time and again saw some old and new friends.
It was my pleasure to present Barnyard with the Willer Award for 2011.
Those of you who have hosted a cubfest know how much work goes into preparation for an event like this. Bill worked hard preparing for the Bash and still took time to help out folks on the forum. So the award was well deserved.
Gary Dotson gave a "From the heart" tribute to George which was a natural lead-in to the award presentation.\

So all-in-all it was a great week-end and we really enjoyed ourselves.
Thanks Bill and Rosie!

It sounds like you all had a great time. Congrats to Bill on receiving the award. It's a shame all the cameras were inoperable.

I made it home last night looking for pictures myself and my wife said it's still going on and no one's home yet.

Thanks so much Bill and Rosie for allowing us into your home for the weekend. As I looked around yesterday the women were busy setting things in order for meals while members were walking everywhere having a great time sharing cub fun.
I can see it takes special people to put on events like this, to open your home and garage for everyone to use. I seen tools of all kinds being shared by our host wondering how he could ever keep track of things or get things back in order once we went home.

Thanks again for the great time, with my new hearing aids I was able to mingle more and really enjoy myself. :{_}:
I'm already looking forward to Bash 2013. I might even beat Mike and Bob there next year....

My camera is still in the truck. Will unload the truck today and get some pictures up although there were lots of cameras there and many took more pictures than we did. Bob Perry took tons of pics and videos. I'm sure when he is home we will be treated to a real picture show!

Yes you will... might be a few days but there's going to be more than one YouTube video out of this one.

I thought my best was going to be panning and zooming in on all the people posing for the group picture, I even had a song picked out that would have made it a masterpiece...

Then when I got out of the sun and could read a message on the screen: "DATA CARD FULL".

Don't wanna say anything, but all that videoing of dry ice in a water bottle waiting for an explosion (a dud), that's where my last few megabytes were used up !!!

But there will be some great videos coming, stay tuned !

I had a great time meeting everyone. Me and Ed got back around 10:00 AM this morning. I just woke up from a long cub bash recovery nap. Everyone should come to Cecil’s in the fall and we will do it again.

As soon as i got home, i hit the hay and slept all night long. Thanks for the great time, i was able to get my PTO in, hydraulic lines installed and mower installed with all the help around. THanks to every one. Never would have been able to do it without all the help. !!

Thanks for another fun relaxing time. My hat goes off to all who prepared the great food that was cooked throughout the fest. It was nice meeting some new friends in person and old mailorder friends. I'm sure glad there wasn't any jelly filled donuts at the show. After talking to ED, I'd inspect them real close to make sure they weren't previously licked. Thanks Joe  .

Thanks again Bill and Rosie for all you did,

Rick

Well I made it home Mon night at 9 PM

A big Thank you to Rosie and Bill for putting on a great Cub fest. It sure is a lot of work. It was great to meet
A bunch of people that I have talked to for years and never met till now. The women that helped Rosie in the kitchen did a out standing job.
I had a wonderful time, and Congratulation to bill on winning the George Willer award.

Was a great time, and I learned alot scattering Spaceghost's Cub all over the shop... I arrived home around 9PM Saturday, got a good nights rest, and proceeded to Bowling Green KY for business. (passed a restored Cub on a trailer heading south on I-65, being pulled by a white Dodge Dakota)
It was good to see/meet everyone and hope to do it again sometime..
Regards, Stan

Thanks, Bill & Rosie!
