I have never seen a cub engine dis-assembled, inspected and measured to check for wear. I would like to see this at a Cubfest, sometime.

I have a basket case engine here that a previous owner completely disassembled because he thought he had a serious problem only to find out he had a stuck valve. He ended up discouraged and sold the thing as was.
If any one has the stuff to do it you all can use it as a show and tell. Heck if everything is there (or if I need to order any parts) it might just end up as a complete, running engine when done.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thanks Gary! That should give the guys a good idea what to look for when working on theirs. It might put me a step closer to getting mine back togetehr also. Sounds like a win/win situation.

Re: Barnyard Bash Projects
Would there be anyone at the Bash able to check out my Mag and maybe rebuild if necessary? It is not currently on a Cub
but I would like to replace a distributor with a Mag later this year and would like to have a good one ready.

Harlan, we can have a look at it but if Rick Spivey makes it to the Bash, we'll let him lay his hands on it.

Rick and I exchanged PM's last week and unfortunately he won't be able to make it this year. Bring the mag along and, as Gary said, we can have a look at it.

You can bring it but you might want to contact him and see how soon he needs it. I will be seeing him but I don't know how soon that might be.

Not really cub related, but I have a 140 touch control unit that I plan on bringing for new seals/gaskets.

Re: Barnyard Bash Projects
I have a transmission I would like to bring. Boss has agreed to give me a tutorial on what to look for in a used tranny as to what is good, what is not, when looking to buy or sell one.
