That pretty much covered what we did. Chris wire wheeled a couple of rear rims, and we persuaded him to paint them, before mounting the tires, so that job didn't get done. Bob Perry was going to bring a cub to get running, but he got it going, at home, so that didn't happen. Shoot bull, eat Bullburgers, shoot more bull, eat more....well, you get the picture! Ed

Well Don, other than some wire brushing on the wheels towards the end, the video pretty much answers that! :lol:

Yeah it's kind of a sleepy video. I was walking around looking for activity, and I found some. It was down back where grown men play with big old construction machines from another era. It's like grown men in a sandbox bigger than a football field. Am working today but as soon as I get a chance, I'll get it up on youTube. Especially you Bill, being a former operator, will enjoy it !

And even the corn-grinding man didn't bring his corn-grinder.

And I was bringing a Cub that had been abandoned in a field for at least 6-7 years, hoping Cecil or Scotlem could help me get it going, but just before Jim and I winched it up on the trailer, we hit the starter and it ran like new. So another project cancelled !

Hey Bob, the video was great, The actors seemed to need better scripts. :lol:

Thanks, I really enjoyed it. You may have to shoot some video around the Bash next month. Bring your track shoes. It gets pretty busy around here. :D

Yes I bet that will be one action-packed video at the Bash. Looking forward to making a nice video or 2 out there. Like in CT, I will mute out most of the voices (you wouldn't believe some of the things I hear while editing !!!)

The best video from Connecticut can't be shown, or somebody might lock the kid's parents up. This boy probably 5 yrs old playing on the 20+ foot high sand banks, all loosened up by the excavators, where the "grown-ups" play. This kid repeatedly slides down the banks, then climbs back up over and over. He's all by himself, completely unsupervised, but what a smile he has. Reminds me of when I was a kid, I guess we're lucky to still be alive. So I'm not going to publish it, could cause a lot of trouble for his parents if this video went viral!!! But the kid sure looked happy. (happier than whoever does his laundry).

If I can stay up late enough, and if it's quiet at work, you're going to get some video of the "grown-ups" playing in their sand-box.

About the only editing you will need to do at the Bash if you are around the campfire with me, Gary Dotson and Steve B. But that is only because:
a) another chair has collapsed;
b) I said a bad word about a bottle not opening;
c) we are talking about Jeff Silvey, or ;
d) All of the above.

:shock:

Hey, you can clearly see we were not sitting around shooting the bull.... we were standing around shooting the bull.

I saw the kid playing in the big sandbox 'slide' too. I was jealous, it looked like he was having great fun.

Bob,

Sure looks good. As I sit here sipping a Yuengling, brings back fond memories from last year. Thanks for the video.

Hey Bob, wanna play in the sandbox? They want to teach people to operate that stuff. The current operators are getting old, and they need to teach replacements. Ed
Bob, next time, you need to get the sawmill on video!

That's right, Ed. Anybody who's thinking about making a trip to the ConnectiCub next year, it's certainly worth the drive. Not so much for "shop time" fixing cubs, but for all the things going on at Zagray. Next event I will do a video of the sawmill.

Tell you what, might not have been a lot of projects (one...my rims) but my brother brought 3 of his kids down and they absolutely loved the festival and they got to see Larry again and meet Ed and the crew. His other kids would have loved the show and too bad he only brought 3 of the 7. Good seeing the usual suspects. Kudos to Art for his hard working crew at Zagray Farm who enjoyed the Satruday night dinner with the Cub people and who did an awesome job running the show.
.
Thanks to those who were nice to my 16 year old dog, she doesn't get to go on trips much and enjoyed the affection and love!
