Barnyard Bash Headcount
We are about 45 days away from the Barnyard Bash. I have been hearing from some folks that they plan to be here since the Tug has been canceled. I have heard from others that they have heard we can expect a bigger than usual turn out. Rosie and I want to be sure we have plenty to eat for everyone, so we need to start planning now so we can order enough to go around.
I also want to set aside enough camping space for everyone who plans to spend the night here. I will be putting out a temporay power pole with five 20 amp outlets. Each out let will handle two RVs as long as it is only used to light a lamp or put on coffee or any other low drawing device. I also have a couple permanent outlets in the barn. With that, we should be able to accommodate 12-14 campers. If there are more I will need to start making arrangements soon.
Please let me know if you will be here and If you will need electric while you are here.
Looking forward to seeing you all here.

Re: Barnyard Bash Headcount
I have heard we may have more folks this year than we have had in the past. Last year we had about 75 and there are rumors we may have upwards to 100. This is forum members and not neighbors, so that will be one heck of a crowd. I have about 30 folding chairs in the barn that I use for gatherings when needed and have been wanting to add more. Today while cruising through craigslist I found a church that was selling 50 of their old chairs so I gave them a call. They turned out to be in great condition so I loaded them up.
I ended up with the chairs and they threw in a nifty cart. Actually they listed the cart for sale and said the chairs went with it. Either way, I got the whole shebang for less than it would have cost to rent the chairs.
I should be good to go with seats, now I will watch for a few tables.
Of course, if you have all those seats you need food. That is never a problem at the Bash. All the ladies, and a couple of the guys, always pitch and do a GREAT job in helping make sure everyone is fed. This year I recieved a call from a member who wants to volunteer to help with the cooking.

What a great addition to the cooking staff. We just may have something to nibble on come Thursday night. Watch for more details.
Let me know if you plan to arrive early so I can figure out a Thursday evening meal of some sort.

Bill,
I plan to be there on Thursday. Ole Mike is a pro with that black pot. Can't wait to see everyone.
He gets some of his dishes a little "upside down" on occasion, but.......
The end results are pretty darn tasty!

WOW
Any chance of there being anything left over come Friday morning when we arrive ?
I stayed so busy at last years Tug that I missed out on all of Mikes goodies, even the root beer.

Re: Barnyard Bash Headcount
Just to add to the excitement, Mr. Mike has graciously offered to make his ever popular root beer.
If you are one of the many who stood in line for a glass full at last year's Cubtug (and went back for seconds) you'll definitely enjoy more at the Bash.
It just keeps getting better!

I'll be getting the Dyno out of storage(side lean-to) next week and check things out. I plan to arrive Thursday evening to get things set up. I can't wait to try some of Mike's cooking that I've been hearing about. Boy, those donuts sure look good. Is Ed coming to this Bash I want to get a couple before he licks any

Joe licks them and Ed eats them. I'll have Rosie hide a couple for you. We'll be here getting ready all day Thursday Rick, so you can roll in anytime you want. I have a special chair for you to use around the fire!
