Comes with mowing deck. Deck does have a bad bearing. Some slack in steering. Cranks and runs fine. Sound like it is worth the money?
Edit: I'm gonna go take a look at it soon as I can. I've been wanting one for awhile now

Re: Is this a decent deal?
Thomas,
If it runs good, the transmission operates smoothly and it has decent tires on it, I believe it would be worth it. I had a 1450 and used it for several years. Mine always had issues with the mule drive and I could never get the deck to mow evenly, but I sure most of that was my inexperience with them. See if the owner has the side panels.....they're functional and give it a nice look.

Re: Is this a decent deal?
That's not a bad price. The tractor looks to be all original. The quietline series is know to have issues with the motor mounts, but in a hydro model there is no clutch to wear out. Regardless, plan to jack the motor up and replace the motor mounts. It's not a bad job, but it will need to be done.
Otherwise, if it runs, doesn't knock, and the hydro works (which they always do), it's not a bad deal. The hydro lever may be really floppy or loose in the mounting, and the hydro may creep when in neutral, but that's really common too. Just adjustments that need to be done, nothing more.
Oh, if you need a set of engine side panels, I've got a set that I'm going to sell. Just give me a shout!

Re: Is this a decent deal?
Listed price appears to be reasonable. When you inspect the tractor - carefully check the mower deck for problems.
Mower deck spindles are expensive. You could easily spend more money repairing the mower deck than the listed original purchase price of the tractor.

I have an excuse. CRS.

Thanks for all your replies on this. I called the guy this morning to tell him I wanted to see the mower, but he had already sold it. Oh well. Wish I could have gone before today, just didn't have the time. Next time maybe!
