Pris wants to know where she is. Probably in the back sleeping. But more likely out shopping.

One of the most touching moments, that actually brought tears to my eyes, was the moment that the Perry Brothers were re-united.

Bob had not seen his younger brother Richard since SECOND GRADE, when Richard forgot to get off the school bus from Dartmouth Elementary one afternoon. Sadly Richard stayed on the school bus until it reached the bus yard, then he got off and wandered. He stumbled while crossing a busy street in Dartmouth (after looking BOTH WAYS) and bumped his head which erased all his long-term memory.

Over the course of time, Richard hitch hiked South. The young boy got a ride from a friendly over-the-road trucker on Highway 1 (the Boston Post Road) who took Richard all the way to Cleveland, Tennessee. The trucker took a liking to young Richard, and gave Richard his old Army surplus hat when he dropped him off at the local Piggly-Wiggly Market. Little Richard (no relation to the Rock singer) loved that old hat and he wore it everywhere, even though it was 3 sizes too large.

A young couple (Dick and Amelia Carson) saw Richard in the Piggly-Wiggly parking lot in Cleveland, Tennessee and asked him if he was lost and "where his parents were?" Of course Richard couldn't answer them, so the Carson's took Richard home with
them. After several unsuccessful attempts at trying to locate Richards real parents the Carsons decided to adopt Richard as their own.

Richard had a happy childhood with the Carsons and he grew up with a fondness for tractors. His Papaw Elias Carson had a Farmall Cub that quickly became Richard's favorite to play on. Papaw Elias would hold Richard on his lap and drive around the farm on his Cub, and when Richard got older, and his feet could touch the peddles, Elias taught Richard how to drive the old Cub.

Richard loved Papaw Elias' Cub tractor and when Papaw Elias passed away, he left the old Cub to Richard in his Will.

Well folks, the rest is history. Richard became a member of FarmallCub.Com so he could get his Cub fixed up correctly, and he decided to go to a Cubfest...the Deep South Cub Fest at Mr. E's and Ms. Mary's. Sure enough, when Richard arrived at DSCF (in his favorite Army Surplus hat) he spotted another Cubber in a nearly identical hat !!! Richard thought there was a similarity about this man named Bob Perry (even though he spoke with a strange accent). But Richard felt an immediate kinship to the man with the SAME Army Surplus Hat !

No one would have ever guessed that this chance meeting would finally reunite the two Perry brothers after 52 years :{_}: ...'Country'

Awwww Country you bring a tear to my eye. No question you people South of the Mason-Dixon line are so incredibly nice. So in the long run, Richard was blessed to have been taken for that long ride down the Boston Post Road and has lived a long and happy life even though separated from his blood relations.

Thanks Country for your part in re-uniting the Perry's !!!

How does anyone really know if Richard "forgot" to get off the bus. I find it hard to believe a child would forget something that important. I seriously think it was a plan hatched by Richard so he could get away from Bob's tormenting. Probably, as a child, Bob was drawing Richard's head on chicken bodies and such just as he continues to do today. I'm willing to bet the money I put aside to buy Ed's donuts if he comes to the Bash that Richard wanted to get away from him.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.
