Ready for CUB TUG
Well, the "boys" may be having lots of fun in Florida, at DSCF. But the "boys" here in Paris were busy installing nearly 1200lbs of weights and dualls on #3 Demo yesterday.
I didnt notice the different tread of the tires, until we were all done. More aggressive one on the outside. What are the opinions on having two different treads? As i may be able to match up treads. Course that means removing weights.

Re: Ready for CUB TUG
As the owner of a dually Cub that has pulled in the Tug, I can tell you the extra tires and weight will rob you of most of your power.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Ready for CUB TUG
One thing I know for sure about the TUG. That track changes every year. A tire that digs this year may spin next year, the track may be dry, the track may be wet, Bigdog might put some of his special "Slip" agent on the track down the middle you just don't know what to expect.
Having two different treads may be to your advantage--------------go for it and have fun If it only pulls 50 feet, it still looked good doing it

I'll bring the splitting stands. We'll need to pull the hood first.

Mean cub, Looks like it'll climb trees, I like the weight set up under the front end. Is that a custom fabrication ?

Just curious, are the inside tires the same O.D. as the outside tires?

Re: Ready for CUB TUG
Hood is staying on thank you. Front weights are an option, actually 460/560 weights but can be used for a cub. TM Tractor has a mowing brochure with them on it. They go pretty high though..... rear tires are same outside dimesion. Just different treads.... she sure does look mean doesn't she....

Courtesy of TM tractor.
I did pass on 4 more of these weights recently on craigslist. Think they wanted $300 for all four. but would have had to ship, and at $40 each, it would have been expensive.
