TD6 FUEL INJECTORSi just picked up real nice TD6 dozer and it seems to have an injector stuck open. It is throwing fuel out the exhaust. The tractor had been sitting for 4 years before i bought it. Does any one know a good place to send the the injectors for cleaning or rebuilding. thanks, ron
Re: TD6 FUEL INJECTORSThis is the place I used when I had the injectors and pump gone through for our Farmall MD. It was not cheap but no pump or injector work will be. They were recommended by several others and I was pleased with what I had to have done on our stuff.
They are out of Iowa. Bill Snyder Central Fuel Injection Service Co 712-362-4200 712-362-2618 fax Jeff 49 Farmall Cub, 68 I-H Cub LoBoy

Re: TD6 FUEL INJECTORSI have had alot of experionce with the TD-6 and other IH start on gas diesels. The first thing is since it has set for a period of time I would check to see if a starting valve is stuck open. I had the same exact thing happen on a WD-9.It blew raw fuel out the exhaust. I found a starting valve stuck open. tapped one the valve a few times. it ran perfect. usually the injectors never go bad.The pumps are pretty tuff too. Only 2 other things it could, a burnt valve or a cracked head. The heads were notorious for cracking because of improper shut down. These engines should not be sut down after running hard. they should idle for atleast 15 minutes to cool the head down. this will prevent head cracking.
