It is a 154 lo boy, first run of the numbered series. 15-hp tractor with manual pto clutch. Below is a photo of the last one I had, which is of the same vintage, around 1973/1974. You can just make out the serial number tag on mine, on the top of the frame straight down from the exhaust outlet and below the throttle/governor arm (the arm is pointing right at the serial number plate). Also note the correct grill which is the same as your photo above.

Re: 184 International lo boy tractor
tks for all the input,,I am still trying to find out more about it,,even if I decide to make the trade I have no money involved in the one I own so even if its a 154 or 185 or a different parts hybrid 184 its still will be free to me,,unless I find out it is stolen ,,,,if stolen it will go to the police,,thats why I am waiting on a serial number,,I just wish people wouldn't try to cover up and make it something its not he could get good money out of it as original,,thats why I fear it stolen,,he has it on Craigslist for $2300 by the way

Re: 184 International lo boy tractor
I would try to negotiate that price down. I gave $2500 for a 184 with a 3-point hitch and a creeper and a 3160A mower deck that looked to be in similar paint condition. I think that I overpaid for my tractor.
