Hello from Dallas, Texas Area
I am new to the forum but have been a follower for sometime now. I have been talking with Jim about using the Canton, Texas show to create some what of a Cubfest. I also managed to post some of my current tractors on the Photo Post Board as well as comment on the IH 1000 Loader Post. One thing I have definately learned this past year with Cub Owners is they are extremely helpful good honest people.

We used to go to the show in Canton back in the mid '80's. I think it was called "First Monday"? Acres and acres of anything imaginable. Wouldn't mine visiting that place again. Nice job on the tractor. If your needing parts, sometimes you can find good deals on the cub "for sale" section here on the forum.

Re: Hello from Dallas, Texas Area
First Monday Trade days in Canton is one of the biggest flea market or outdoor events of the type. It is held Thursday through Sunday on the weekend before the first Monday of every month. The amount of space required for the Trade Days is enormous. A number of smaller events use some of the space during the time between Trade Days. But most of the space stands vacant until the next month. That is the situation that provided the opportunity for the Tractor show. For the last several years, it has been held on the weekend (Friday and Saturday) immediately following the April Trade Days. If I have my calendar straight, this year it will be April 6 and 7. Canton is located along I-20 about 60 miles east of Dallas and about 130 west of Shreveport, LA. If you want to see the exact location type 32.566102, -95.860090 into google maps. I think we have a good opportunity to do something there.

Welcome to the forum Jeff!!
I believe I'll be in yalls area during that timeframe and be able to make it to the show that weekend if all the particulars get worked out.

Thanks, I look forward to participating in a show. As of now I am just buying, repairing, and selling. Of course I have put back a couple for myself.
