1955 ChevyOne of my other toys. I've had this since 1972. When I bought it, it was a dull metallic blue, headers, 4 speed, mags, a 301 running on 7 cylinders but all the stock trim was there. It now runs a 327 with 283 fuelie heads, turbo 350 with shifter kit and a Holley. I don't drive it much anymore, but I'm storing it for my son who is an Army Major and wants it when he gets out, another 7 years.
Re: 1955 ChevyMan, Nice car. Most people are crazy for the '57s (and rightly so), but I've always prefered the '55s front grill and rear end. Beautiful.

Re: 1955 ChevyOf all the classic Chevys the 55 is my favorite! Based on your description of the drive train I would imagine this one is quite a sleeper!

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem. My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that! http://www.cubtug.com
Re: 1955 ChevyMy first car was a 1955 chevy bel-air sports coupe. It was black with red and white roll and pleated seats, with chrome head liner bars. It had the stock 265 v8 with 3 speed trans. I bought the car off a used car lot for $395.00. That was in 1966, I was 18 yrs old. Boy do I wish I had that car back in the condition it was in then. Come to think of it I would like to be in the condition I was in then too.
