Super A--140 Fast Hitch?

Postby Super A » Wed Nov 02, 2011 9:20 pm

Just out of curiosity here, I know what complete Fast Hitches for Cubs go for....is the price for a complete Fast Hitch for a Super A-140 comparable?

thanks,
Al

That's about what I thought. A one point fast hitch tractor--that isn't a Cub--is on my collection "bucket list."

All things being equal, I think I would opt for a 130. Neat looking tractor.

A 130 would fit nicely, I am not 100% positive but I think the 130 would have about the fewest # produced of the A-140's so collectability would be good.

What I really want though is a Super A, and add a fast hitch to it, as well as other "goodies"--Fire Crater pistons, deluxe "140" style seat, battery ignition, etc. My reasoning is this: I have my grandfather's '48 restored to as near factory original as I can, I have a Super A-1, and a white demo Super A. These two need to be brought back to as near original as possible too. But I'd like to have a Super A representative of how so many ended up as time passed---lots of them around here got the big pistons, deluxe seat, and some got fast hitch to make them more useful/comfortable. I think it would be a neat display to have all 4 tractors at a show--the three "nice" ones and a clean example of a "worker."

Super A, You can always buy the remains of my "parts" '48 Super A! It has everything but the hydraulic pump, lines and quadrant, and oil pan, plus the engine has a broken crankshaft. So if you were redoing the engine anyway, that wouldn't be so bad!!

Al, this is an ad by my friend David. He has sold other items to forum members, and i have them here waiting for cub express in April to Boss's Fest. He came to my Fest with a tailer full and everything he sold was more than reasonably priced.
