Re: How Far Will You Go?
I am lucky enough to have several around me; I can hit 4 different ones each year with the farthest being 225 miles one way.
DocFest; 225 miles
Barnyard Bash; 30 miles
Cub Tug; 100 miles
Central Indiana; 135
(Portland tractor show is under 100 miles as well)
Like many, the timing is just as much, if not more, of an issue for me. I hope to expand to another one next year that looks to be about 500 miles one way.
I did go about 550 miles one way just to pick up my first Cub.

Yep, make 2 or 3 trips each season, about 900 miles each way, unless I have a Cub Express detour to make...

Re: How Far Will You Go?
The shortest distance I've been to a Cubfest is 4 miles at the Perry CubFest last year down the street. hahaha
@David Grapes, thanks for the detour on your pheasant hunting trip. The flail mower works very well and mowed at the Perry's field a few weekends back!

Go to Bigdog's Tug and Barnyard's Bash. Approx. 800 miles one way. Well worth the trips. Also been to Boss's in Virginia, approx. 700 miles.

Re: How Far Will You Go?
I have been to several at Cecil's, 90 miles each way, One at the Perry's about 120 miles, and to Hog Waller 650 miles, 3 times, once with Bob in Ct. and 2 times with Buzzardwing. I rode shotgun on the trips to Boss Hogs and was well entertained by my drivers. Bob has a very diverse and great music collection on his ipod, he amazed me with his music knowledge. Great guy to travel with and can he load some implements into the back of a Volvo wagon. I am sure we were the only ones to arrive at a cubfest with a set of fasthitch discs loaded in a Volvo. Buzzardwing, Larry Davis is also a great companion for a long ride, he can carry on a conversation for most of the trip even, when I was sleeping. From the civil war to cubs we talk and tell stories, a great time. With these guys the trip is as much fun as the fest.

Sort of like riding with Ketcham. We have ridden together on numerous occasions. He is a great guy to have along on a trip.

Re: How Far Will You Go?
Well, lets see. It depends on exactly what events qualify for the question.
The farthest I have gone just to attend a strictly Cub event, would be to Cubarama at about 600 miles each way.
I've been to a couple Ohio Cubfests (1100 plus or minus) but they were trips that included other destinations.
If you include hauling a Cub to Red Power, then the farthest is the year it was in Bloomsburg, at about 1450 miles each way.
The farthest I have gone to pick up a Cub that I bought on the internet is to Colfax NC at 1100 each way, knocking out my previous longest to the Cinncinnati area at 900+ each way.
The farthest away from home for visiting another Cub owner was North Attleboro MA. That would have been over 1700 miles but doesn't count because plane flights were involved.

This will be our third year of traelling approx 550 mile to NE fest, we have thoroughly enjoyed the first two. We also try to do some sightseeing along the way up to the event. last year we took a tour of New York city.

Re: How Far Will You Go?
Stanton, I had very poor wireless at Stonethrow, so I'm just getting around to an answer. If flying counts, it's 2449 miles from Longmont to Rudi's (Dieppe, NB) one way. Otherwise, the drives I've done include Longmont to the Bash- 1197 (one way); Longmont to Oxford, MS (Russ Leggitt's Cubfest) to Harrison, OH (Bash the following weekend) and back home was 3162 round trip.
