NEATTA fall show, swap meet, and auction

Very disappointing show! Weather forecast was for rain, which did not materialize, but apparently kept people away. 15 show tractors, 6 swap meet vendors, and very few spectators. Usually, 50 to 75 tractors appear, and 20 to 30 vendors. Auction, scheduled for tomorrow, has essentially nothing to offer. 3 tractors, a few lawn tractors, an old hay baler (JD wire tied bales), and a couple of odd pieces of junk. The club restored cub will be auctioned, but they expect to get way more than it is worth, so I doubt that it will sell. I'll be there, because I have a tractor there, but a day in the shop would be more productive. They are paying the auctioneer $900, for what will amount to an hour's work, if he drags it out, trying to get bids. I think that our first annual auction, will be our only annual auction. (especially if they choose to count my vote!) Ed

So I guess I would be wasting my time looking for a swap meet there tomorrow....

Weather is pretty unpredictable, but I found the rain forecast often doesn't materialize. So I rarely plan based on the 'forecast'.

No swap meet today, Larry. Auction lasted 45 minutes. Nothing exciting at the auction, except the club's cub, which didn't sell. Min.bid $ 3500 Highest bid, $2300. Ed

Sorry to here it was a flop. We had softball all weekend in Wrentham with my daughter. Friday, Sat and Sunday.
