STONETHROW VI

Postby Kodiak » Sun Aug 14, 2011 9:53 pm

Well its almost that time of year again. Yep thats right STONETHROW is getting nearer as the days go by. As usual its the first weekend in October (Sept.29,30th and October1st, 2011) It hardly seems that we've had 5 of these and this will be number 6  It really is true that times flies when your having fun :!: So plan on joining us on the above dates for some hard cub work and good eating and we'll throw in a parade too :!:

I promise to get the web site updated very soon and if you have any questions please post them here or send me a PM.

Thanks
Ron

PS: Bill I'll try and call you Monday night
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Corky
I found this old Cub, Forgotten and Forlorn,
With pistons and valves frozen and worn.
Help from my buddies on Farmallcub.com,
And an engine from Ralph, (37’s the one),
Now ole Corky is running and back to life,
Much to the surprise of my dear, dear wife!

Ron, Jan and I plan to be there with Bells on. Her new cub should be ready for the parade we hope.

Yes, Elmo shall live again! :big afro:

I do not plan on bringing anything to work on, so will be available to help with any projects. I won't be bringing any heavy parts for sale, unless pre-sold, but will have plenty of the small stuff that is always needed available. The more projects we know we will have, the better I can prepare for the unexpected.

Anyone coming to Stonethrow from up Boss's way??? We have a Cub that needs to find its way to N.C. and a trip from my place to Boss's would fit the bill really nicely. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Anyone else got any projects that need to get taken care of? We still have room for a few more that weekend. So pack em on up and come on down looks like its gonna be very nice weather about that time.
Almost forgot.... I have a gas tank lip tool, toe-in guage, front pulley puller, two splitting stands, 4 sets of wedges, tire tools and some other speciality tools if anyone needs them at Stonethrow.

Ron, I would like some help diagnosing and repairing the hydraulics on my new Wisconsin Cub. I am planning to order an o-ring kit. I have no idea what the problem is; however, I do know it doesn't work.

I would also like a good assessment of the tractor in general. I don't know how long since it had been run, but I'm guessing about five years before I got it. I primed the oil pump, put in fresh gas and a battery; and it fired right up. Ever since, it has started immediately every time I pull the starter rod. However, there is a strange noise in the engine I would like to investigate further :?

Ron,

I'd like to take a quick look at Al's (SuperA) new tractor, to see if we can't get it to start and run more reliably. Then we won't have to push it on and off the trailer! (I am helping in a Cub Express to get it to him)
