If you're thinking about coming to the Barnyard Bash....

Postby Bigdog » Mon Apr 25, 2011 1:03 pm

Motel rooms are at a premium in Harrison this (Barnyard Bash) week-end. I made my reservations at the Comfort Inn a couple of weeks ago after trying unsuccessfully at the Howard Johnson's. (no rooms available)
I tried today to increase my reservation to a room with two beds so the Lil Dog and his family could join us but Comfort Inn has nothing available now for Friday or Saturday except for a couple of smoking rooms.
If you have not made your reservations yet you might want to call soon or you may be sleeping with the critters in the B O B !!

To add to this, I called Howard Johnson's main number today and found out that the Harrison HoJo is now closed. If you had reservations there you might want to look into another place to stay. As Darrell said, the Comfort Inn is full for the weekend except for the rooms he mentioned. That leaves the Holiday Inn Express as the only other game in town. There number is 513-367-1111.

Rent in BOB is free, and they are all non smoking stalls rooms.

I just made my reservation at the Comfort Inn, per Barnyard's advise. They did tell me that they don't have much left for the weekend of the Bash....just an FYI...better get a room quickly!

I thought he supplied CC (Corn Cobs) not TP. If I remember correctly he used two buckets. One with red cc and the other with white cc

Steve, I think you will enjoy your first Cubfest and will be wanting to go to the next one as soon as you can. One word of advice, stay away from the wooden chairs.

I will say that it was subjected to some stress before I sat down.

Now, that's a line that just can't be ignored. Betcha it was under stress because *someone* had already eaten a good pot of pinto beans. :headbang
Though trillions and trillions of eyes have been watching the skies for as long as human memory exists, no gods nor angels have been seen or documented outside of religion. The number of spaceships being sighted however has become much more prevalent.

Here is an update on the room situation. The HoJo is definitely closed. There is a big "For Sale" sign in the window. The Holiday Inn Suites is has one room left and the Comfort Inn is full. If you haven't gotten your room yet, you may be the lucky one for that last one. With that many rooms taken for one weekend around here it makes me wonder how many of them are for the Bash.
