I am going to make an articulating cub cadet using 2 hydro units. I have seen a couple of pictures with the front hydro turned around so that the rear cover is facing forward. The question I have is can anything be done to the hydro unit so that the input can be reversed (to make the hydro pump run in reverse of the way it does)?
Here is a link to one of the one's I have seen. http://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Cub%20C ... %204x4.htm

Re: Hydro Question
Jim,
There was a thread about this on the IH Registry site, but it has since crashed, but if I remember correctly, basically the charge pump has to be turned 180 degrees to reverse the rotation, and if the rearend is mounted backwards the ring gear has to be flipped. I'm sure if you contact Daryl at the link you posted, he can probably answer your questions.

Re: Hydro Question
Thanks Paul,
I will do a little more checking on this. I sent Daryl an email on 10/25/2010 and did not ever get a reply. I guess I will have to do some more research.

Re: Hydro Question
My question is, why didn't he leave it run in reverse and switch the lincage around to make up the speed difference? and or he could of fliped the ring & pinion? Jack.
