I have a 1942 Farmall A with an aftermarket hydraulic unit run by the PTO shaft. It is a pump and tank unit attached by brackets just adjacent to the PTO. No markings are evident but my research seems to show that it is a
char lynn E 600 model, which were made to fit many tractors simply by using different brackets. Any information you have about this model, especially manuals, would be helpful.Thanks.

Dan - I have the owner's manual for the Char-Lynn E 600. I can scan and e-mail it to you (if you send me your e-mail). Or you can check out the images in my photo directory:

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Re: char lynn hydraulic unit
Had one. Didn't work so I took it apart. Called Char Lynn asking about parts. The folks I talked to didn't know any thing about the unit. Even when I gave them part numbers stamped on internal parts.
I have an excuse. CRS.

Big Dog: I viewed the posted pictures on the local library computer but couldn't get good prints made. I'll have my daughter contact you so you can e-mail the images to her. Many thanks for your help.

Hello Bob
Would it be possible to get a copy of the Char lynn HI Lo PAC E600 manual? I just received one from a neighbor more or less complete and want to get it hooked to a AV we have here to run a single circuit trip bucket.
Thanks
PK
