I have the same issue filling my Suburban, although I never actually put 40 gallons in it at one time because it is just too hard to push. Today, 31 gallons just set me back nearly $70. That's about what I made per week when I had my first "real" job (the kind that handed out a payroll check every Friday) working for the Maryland State Highway Administration keeping America clean.

Brent,
Thats because big trucks use it. (commercial)
I spent over $1800.00 on fuel in one trip from upstate NY to TX. Thank god it was not my money I don't own the truck just drive it.
I will say that if somebody doesn't do something all he?? is going to break loose in the trucking industry as even the big,big company's have had it and are starting to down size to cut back cost.
If it's been broken I did it.
If its not broken wait till I touch it.

Dale,
It will never happen but if the truckers got together and all went on strike for a week they'de bring this country to its knees. Might wake up some of our politicians too! I have a friend who retired from Cheveron. I know I made more than him in my 32 year carrier but he took advantage of Cheveron's stock option. He just finished building a 4000sq ft log home on 160 acres in Montana, second home, and he has every toy known to man. I guess we should have bought some petroleum stock back when. I'm one up on him! I have a CUB!

Ouch
Stopped in one of the quick stops to use the facilities and get a cup of coffee. I paid for the coffee and started for the door. The clerk told the customer behind me that his gasoline bill was $120.??. Ouch. And I thought the $1.29 for the capachino was expensive.
