The cattle barn at the County Farm burnt this morning . They tried to burn it last weekend but we arrived to early.I think they got it right this time. No cattle were in the barn It was used by the High School students to paint on . We suspect it was poured full of some type of flamable liquid by a rival High School. Steve

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Had a barn go up around us in franklin Ny a couple of years ago. hay wasn't dry enough when they put it up not spread out enough and no heavy salt. They were going to transport water from my pond. The dopey driver was going to drive in at the overflow. He would have sunk in over the axles and not gotten near enoug to draw water. He wanted to argue with me when I said go in the drive way. I said dam it if fully loaded concrete trucks could go in that way and not leave a rut, what are you going to do with that little pumper. It is the way they do it now.

A good friend in the U.P. Took down an old barn moved it 65 miles and put it up on his place about 18 years ago. Did his own logging and hand made all the rotten beams he had to replace. He is one of those peaple that allways pulls the breakers in a storm. He said he was standing in the garge with the breakers in his hand when lightning hit it. It wasn't eaven raining yet most of his hay was up combine in and it burnt to the ground. No insurence took the heart out of him for years untill his boys built him a new one.
