Cub 3 point hitch

I've seen pictures of 3 point hitch conversions for the Cub. I was wondering if anyone knew what category (0,1,2,3) implements this was made for?

I imagine it depends on who made it. Mine is Cat 1.

That tells me a lot Barnyard. I guess another way of asking would be what category can a Cub handle? I would guess cat 1, but I'm not sure.

Well, you did ask what category they were made for. Mine handles Cat 1 just fine. If you get any bigger implements than that you will probably be going too far. Front weights are recommended.

It would seem from the chart that the Cub is rated for cat 0. But Barnyard's tractor handles cat 1. Amazing little tractors!

I would think the horsepower part of that chart would pertain to any powered equipment you run, such as mowers or tillers, that is 3 point. There isn't really any 3 point power things out there that would run on a Cub. The chart is good though since it gives info on sizes and such. Thanks for sharing that Scrivet.

I only use nonpowered things like the lift or the grader. But even then you need to be careful how much you lift, push etc.

I think the Horsepower column is a general reference to the size of the tractor (hence the overlap) mainly for how heavy the other components need to be. A CAT 0 lift arm is not near as heavy/strong/thick as a CAT 4 lift arm would be.

Barnyard is right, there are very little attatchmnts out there that are powered and a cub can run, I have the same set up as barnyard (Blade), and it works great but you do have to be careful on the amount of stuff you push or pull with the blade. Tried using a box blade w/my cub and could not get it to work/fit properly, even w/longer arms (lower arms). and a bush hog, no way to much refab to get this to work, suppose thats why they went w/the woods underbelly mower. but the blade works awesome, especially since the touch control allows you to be percise on your height adjustments. Unlike my 42' Ford 2N, I have to use chains and its either to high, to low, Can never get the perfect height on that one. any way thought i'd put my two cents in, if anything I hope it was entertaining.
