Another Michigan Cubber!

Hello everyone! :D

My name's Bill and I live in Central Michigan. I love all things old and rusty! New and shiny works for me too I suppose, but I do enjoy working on / fixing up the old iron, the best I can anyway. I have been lurking in your forums for some time now! Muah ha ha ha!!!! :) I figured I had better join the party so I can communicate with experts living here.

I just joined the Farmall Cub family last fall with my first Cub purchase, a 1957 (I think) with a decent fail mower hanging from the middle. I also have the front blade, not sure if I have all the parts to mount that or not and a 1 bottom plow that I am sure I do not have all the parts for.

I bought my Cub right as the weather turned nasty here, so I had to park it in the barn and wait for the spring thaw. I am learning new things every day, and looking forward to learning more. I have having trouble getting the ole-girl started now so I am hitting the basics this week trying to breath the life back into her. I'll be looking for some expert guidance from you all! :D

I forgot I had some pictures up on Photobucket. Hope this works!

From one Bill to another, Welcome to the forum. With the help you can get here that Cub will be out working before you know it. And those missing parts can easily be found around here somewhere.

Welcome Scotty, You'll find that Cubs are both fun and addictive. Feel free to ask any questions you might have when you get started on it. You might check the announcements Forum to see if there is a Cubfest near you this spring or summer.

One of which is the Cub Manual Server. Enjoy!.

Welcome aboard!! It's always good to see another Michigan Cubber join the ranks. You'll like it here, make sure you take the time to look around, there's lots to see.

Welcome aboard! Just in time for the fest season, with Docfest in a couple weeks, The bash, the tug, CI fest, Cubarama............... So many fests, so little time and money.....

Thanks for the warm welcome! I'll have to look and see what Cub-fests might be close. I'm studying the manuals now, I hope there's no test! From what I saw so far Lurker Carl's contributions, I am a LONG ways from being done tweaking that carb!

Welcome. :{_}: Lurker Carl's how to is actually simpler than it looks. Don't "read" more into it . I drove myself crazy  then started all over and did what was supposed to be done. Worked like a charm. Grump
