Hello From Near Keyser WV
Ok after years of working I retired and decided to start to work [yeah right] anyway I was a Security Specialist for a Very Major Male Country Singer and on the road 280 days a year. That life is not easy you cannot believe how crazy them Country fans can get. Oh the stories I could tell but I swore a oath not too. The singer I worked for [name witheld by his request]
so happens to have several IH tractors and at least 6 cubs. All of his are restored.
I am looking for a 1947 Cub thats the year i was born. I would like to have one in need of cosmetic and minor repair.
Need to find one before June 5th thats my wedding day. The soon to be Misses believe it or not gave her blessings for the deal. Providing she gets to drive the cub. Huh sounds like a deal to me.
Ok here are some details i feel you need to know. I have a list of Do Nots here is the list.
1. I do not smoke
2. I do not drink
3. I gave up chasin women got the one I want
4. Do not curse or use vulgar language
5. I vote but dont get to deep into politics
My Do List
1. I do attend Church and worship the lord
2. I do sing Gospel Music
3. I do ask that you attend the Church of your choice
4. I do ask that you vote
5. I fish
I met a very prominate Gospel Singer once he was a wonderful man. And I asked if he thought needed someone to
protect him. He grinned and said "Son the Lord protects me and my Wife both" Later that night I heard this man sing one of the most moving Gospel songs i have ever heard. The title is " I Don't Regret A Mile I Have Traveled For The Lord"
that song was so moving that i shed quiet a few tears. If you are amind to hear the song it is listed as titled above on You Tube. The Singer is the Late Howard "Happy" Goodman his wife Vestal joins him at the end of the song. I just wish that i
had got to meet this wonderful couple a lot sooner God Rest You Both Howard and Vestal . And in tribute my byline has become " I Don't Regret A Mile I Have Traveled For The Lord'' the reason that this is true with me is that i don't regret serving God. Only a fool would regret doing so.

Congrats on the up coming nuptials.. as well as welcome to retirement It is a grand life... but don't get too comfy cause I can tell you from experience, I have no idea how I ever found time to actually have a career/profession/business. Judging by my life now, there is no way to fit one of them that things into it
Have a look at the Classified Section here on Farmallcub.com. The For Sale Cubs sub-forum is where you may find your 47. You may also want to check with Ralph or JP - two of our site sponsors. I know Ralph has Cubs and he has been kown to have a 47 or two. Ifn that doesn' bring any good one's to your attention, is a viabe possibility as well as Craig's List. Many a time our members will post a likely candidate in the Cub Vine.
I will add a link to a pretty good search after dinner. Boss lady called.. it is dinner time and I do know which side my steak is grilled
Try this search it might help: Farmall Cub #1
to Farmallcub.com Forum Family. And you have come to the right place for all things Cub related. If you click on the Site Rules, Regulations, & Important Information, it will point you to the Welcome Wagon wherein you will find links to many useful sites and topics. One of which is the Cub Manual Server. Enjoy!.

Larry, did you guys push it up those steps?
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

No Barnyard, the bride arrived in great style...... It was a ground level wedding. (Carl is in disguise behind the wheel, he is fully licensed to drive a Cub at weddings and his rates are very reasonable)
You are less likely to get beaned by a golf ball in a church (look under the steering shaft)
Best wishes on the new life Jimbo! Just remember, one Cub gets lonely.

Welcome fellow West Virginian, looks like your up just east of the WVU area. Your probably not to far from where Don McCombs lives. Have fun on the forums and visit often...
