Sort of a canning question

Postby Dan Stuckey » Thu Dec 24, 2009 4:40 pm

Bought a jar of spiced, i guess sort of pickled green beans. Well, ate all the beans and wondered if it's ok and safe to get some frozen green beans and put them into the juice in the jar. Hoping the juice will flavor the beans as the original ones were but dont want to die or get sick with this. Thanks BTW, these were great, Tabasco brand, spicy hot beaans. yum

It will work with fresh beans (never tried it with frozen). Keep it refrigerated. Hope this helps. Thanks; Virginia

Thanks Virginia, Guess without fresh beans around, I'll take a stab at using the frozen. Just eat a few at a time and hope the belly does ok. :-)
